Isabella and Sebastian Tholet (twins, 13 months)

Isabella and Sebastian Tholet (twins, 13 months)

Our precious twins Isabella and Sebastian (now 14 months) were an absolute blessing to us after many unsuccessful years of trying to conceive. They were in ICU for 5 weeks where they had a schedule and routine worked out for them and by the time we brought them home the last thing we were worried about was that we would have problems with their sleep patterns.

From the very beginning they never slept well at night but we just thought it was because of the strict routine of 4 hourly feeds and that they were twins and prem, but when we eventually cut out the night time feeds and they were still waking 4 to 5 times a night we knew it wasn't something that was going to come right on its a result we landed up with two cranky little people who woke up frequently at night and would stay awake for about 7 hours in the day with no nap! Cranky babies = miserable Mom and Dad.

I was initially very sceptical about the Baby Love concept and didn't think it would work on "our children", I knew it would be extremely tough listening to them cry especially since I am alone at home in the day. The first couple of days were really hard but before I knew it a week had passed and they were already sleeping through the night which meant they were a lot happier in the day! After 2 weeks the day naps were also sorted and Mom had free time for the first time!

I think most parents of multiples battle at some point with sleeping patterns and all I can say is....don't wait! It's not as tough as you think and when you see how content your babies are you will wonder why you didn't do it sooner!

Thank you Jacqui!
