Kendal McKay

Dear Nikki

First and foremost I'd like to congratulate you on being warm and compassionate, and capable of listening to our needs and goals for our daughter Kendal. We came to you just after Kendal turned 2, and though I felt that we should've been in a routine a lot earlier, my wife wasn't emotionally ready . Kendal is our first born and was breastfed from day 1, and was still breastfed up until the day we came to see you, she never drank formula, and indeed, my wife never expressed milk, so Kendal was quite set in her comfort zone, as well as falling asleep in her bed, with her mom, on the breast.
She would then sleep in her own bed until around 11.30 - 1.00am whereas she would walk through to our room, then fall asleep in our bed, again on the breast. Although breastfeeding never was demanded or done in public, it could've turned into a potential catastrophe.

You Nikki, listened to our needs, our lifestyle and commitments, and adjusted the Toddler Love program just a fraction to accommodate us.
We as parents had to do our bit to set the boundaries, and although we had a very structured routine, it wasn't in the best interests of any of us.

You listened, gave advice and worked through the program with us, explaining the how's and whys, the dos and don'ts, the potential pitfalls , and most important, the benefits.
It took Kendal 2 days to adjust to not having any milk, from having it readily on tap, her sleeping routine took about the same, realizing she can sleep through ( she only did once ever before) and not dependent on mom and her milk.
My wife and I thought we were in for 3 weeks of restlesness and living with a devil, tantrums etc, but on the contrary, with your help, she has turned from an angel into an absolute saint.

Your advice on simple things ( that we knew but never did) like keeping the room at a constant temperature, nutrition, sleeping habits, bath habits, potty training etc was spot on, and although Kendal adapted extremely quickly (by my standards), credit must be given where it is due, so yes, a big thank you for yet ANOTHER success story.!

Thank you for taking the time, thank you for listening, thank you for caring, thank you for the follow up, thank you for your time, and thank you for helping us create a loving wonderful family unit.
Thank you for easing Sherene through the period too, and giving her the confidence to do so.

Kind regards
John , Sherene and Kendal
